Biography
I graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1981 with a history and philosophy degree. I attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and received my JD degree in 1985. I also have an MBA from the University of Texas, Austin (1998). After working with a small firm in San Antonio I was General Counsel for Metroplex Bancshares, Inc., a bank holding company in Dallas, from 1987 until 1991. From 1991 to 1997 I was in solo practice. From 1997 to 2011 I was a shareholder in Harkins, Latimer & Dahl, P.C., where I concentrated on ERISA litigation on behalf of employees, insurance coverage litigation, and consumer and commercial litigation. Since 2011, I have had a solo practice concentrating on ERISA benefit claims and ERISA litigation as well as other insurance claims.
